This is Machine Doubling on the mintmark. Note the device was reduced in size compared to a RPM: http://www.varietyvista.com/09b%20W...201964-D.htmNote the size of the affected RPMs. In order to a mintmark to be a RPM, there will be a spread between punchings. Just being enlarged doesn't make it a RPM? For instance this mintmark is not a RPM, even though it is very large. Why not? No spread on the mintmark.

To add to this, Yes a coin can have an RPM,DDO, DDR on one coin. Your thread said 1996 but this is a 64. RPMs stopped in 1989. From there the mint placed the MM on the master die instead of punching them in the working die. As for your coin, I agree with coop. Just Machine Doubling

Yes, They are Coop, but I was hoping to get lucky and find my first RPM, But I will put this one in a 2x2 and put it in my book, Better luck next time right. I was still looking for the info on the coins with both DDO, DDR and RPM. Thank you all for your help. I am still green, and still loving the hunt. In my area we don't get many D Mint Marks nor the newer coins... But I keep Looking,, LOL

A quick reference for variety information is when you see, CoopHome, note it will be blue in color, click on that and it will take you to a thread of topics that explains various subjects with thousands of images. Probably take a week to read all the information there. But click and go there for assistance on several subjects.
