I bought some coins and this two coins came as added bonus:

These two coins are from Honan, currently known as Henan. They are quite massive as they are 4cm in diameter and weighing at 20grams easily. Probably the largest Asian copper coin that I have in my collection.

Here is an image comparison:

If I am not wrong, the size of the Aussie 5 cent coin is about the same as a Lincoln Cent. The 1931 100 cash coin in particular seems to be relatively uncommon as seen here:

Although it wasn't sold, the asking price is kinda surprising. Is the price somewhere around there? Tried looking everywhere else but so far not successful. Anyone else collects coins of this type?

Well, in 1931, inflation was kicking in, so there weren't many coins produced at all.

Plus, since this is 100 cash the coin doesn't really circulate, and especially at that late stages, when people paid in banknotes.

It's a very interesting coin . I thought the largest they made was only 20 cash...

I've got a 50 cash from the province, I picked up in a bulk world coin lot. I've never seen either of these 100 cash for sale here.

According to Krause, the top one is fairly cheap except in high grades; the bottom one is scarcer, and in high grades quite pricey for a Chinese copper. Both your example and the one on ebay seem to have a nasty case of the "greenies"; perhaps the alloy used to make these coins was particularly green-death-prone.

Still, quite generous for a freebie.

Sap, this was actually in a coin lot. There was a 100 mon coin that I wanted which was described but the other two was just described as unidentified oriental coins which happened to be a double win in my case as I believe I paid reasonable price for the 100 mon coin. Shipping was a bit ouch but these two copper coins pretty much covered it.

I believe that in the 1930s there also were 200 Cash pieces. Were there even larger ones?

I have a Chinese Coin
20 Cash
1851
Tai-Ping Rebellion
Emperor Wen Tsung
Fuchou Mint
Fukien Province

My uncle found it in a lamp of that era. Must of been hiding it from the rebellion.

Most copper coins coming out of China have the green meanies.
