Came across this 1972-D Lincoln with weak struck "States" and nearly missing "of" anyone seen this before or have any ideas of value ? It's an uncirculated coin . Should I send it off to be graded ? Thanks in advance

to CCF. Looks like a Struck Through Grease. No added value and not worth grading...sorry.

Between grease and the obverse side taking so much of the planchet, these are weak a lot times:

Note the area on this one that isn't wear on the tops of the devices. This one is probably more of a striking issue because of the fullness of that area, where the bust isn't. Note on your coin, the tops of the devices are not present, so your coin may have been more affected by a grease in the die issue.

Agree with coop (above) on the obverse planchet matter--pretty common on this timeframe of memorial cents.
