I inherited a few coins a while back and among them was a Mexico Spanish Colony 8 Reales — 1760 (images attached). In doing some investigating, it looks like this particular coin has been counterfeited many times (also legitimate replicas). I am curious if anyone can help me identify if this is likely just a counterfeit/replica? I did weigh it and it is 25 grams (a little light for a genuine 8 Reales, I know). It was with other coins mostly minted in the 1940s - 1960s. In doing research, I saw that replicas started being made, in earnest, in the 1960s. So, I don't have high hopes. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the welcome from you both! Okay, I have sharpened my camera and hopefully, these images show the detail you need. I'm happy to take any other shots you might require. Thanks!
