I should have this at some point haha , been held up for a bit with our USPS in Kansas .
I bid on this late thinking it is a details coin . I won it for a decent price even if it is details. I just love the design.
To me there is a scratch or two on the obverse that may details it if it where graded . Also maybe a old cleaning but it may just be the photos. Still looks like a nice example of this coin since I did not want to pay much.

I think it is XF-45 and possibly details but I generally collect Morgans though I thought I would see what my forum friends here think.

I'll say high VF details (cuts, scratches).

The obverse die looks like a Briggs 10-I, a business strike from the proof dies. I can't make out the reverse die markers, though. The pitting to the west of Liberty's right arm (our visual left) and the tooth-like denticles on the reverse at 8:00-9:00 make me pause a bit. I'm not aware of any rusted dies on Briggs 10-I. The obverse appears to be mid-VF, and the reverse appears to be mid-EF. Thoughts?

To me is shows VF-35 sharpness on the obverse and EF-40 on the reverse. But I'm very old school - I collected these extensively from 1975-2000.

I am honestly not sure on these , I have been looking at them online for quite awhile but have not held one in years . Looking at VF-35 online to me this looks to have more detail on the obverse . I could see it at VF-40 Details . The reverse looks XF-45 to me but I do not know these.

Fortcollins I will have to look up the Briggs 10-I

obverse VF35 reverse XF40. I think the reverse is strong enough to hold it to XF details.

So I decided to send this in and I figured it was details scratched and cleaned.
Its interesting though . It is not dull , not polished no real hairlines but very bright.
I assume dipped enough to brighten her but not dull her.

I usually get rid of details coins but she came back
AU-50 Details scratched and cleaned
I will probably keep her for awhile until I can get a straight graded similar coin.
Since the scratches are tough to see without a loop and the coin looks pretty nice.
