Can anyone offer ideas on this penny?
It looks like a 1970 with the naked eye. The coin is so thin on the right side that there is no rim there. It almost looks like a strike through cloth except the ones I have seen are only on one side. It also doesn't have a crosshatch that cloth has. It is also almost golden looking. Appreciate any help with identifying this. Thanks

A torched coin. Spendable for face value.

Yep, looks like heat damage from a blowtorch. Easy way to tell is a heated coin will have the correct weight - an acid damaged coin will be lighter than normal weight (typically)

Ah, what I could have done with a blowtorch when I was a kid.
