1983 Washington Quarter Has Possible Doubled Die Looking For Comments And

I have a 1983 Washington quarter and I'm hoping to get others opinions on the double dieting and what the value might be. I appreciate any comments. Report this Post to the Staff

If you are seeing doubling on UNITED, can you please post a more brightly lit close-up to this thread? Thx. That tells me that the die was aging and in the VLS die state and going into the VLDS. Note how mushy the devices are? On a doubled die you should see spread on the devices in the centers of the devices. Note how much thicker the devices are on this 1968-D DDR-001. When you compare them with normal devices, then you see how much larger they are: That is why I recommend Side by sides to tell the difference, sometimes include a personal image to compare with: Note how you can compare two to your coin in the center?
