Looking for help. I was going through my pocket change and came up with this Minnesota quarter from 2018. The EPU appears doubled, has anyone seen one of these. Thanks for the help: Lou

To underscore the "common" point, when I checked NGC, including Variety Plus, and PCGS, they had no varieties/errors listed except the infamous "extra tree."

However, Wexler has 169 DDR varieties for this quarter and several for a doubled "Unum." You might want to check out: https://doubleddie.com/182522.html Minnesota-P takes up 3 pages!

Stay well,

70% of these have some mild, medium, strong and hub Machine Doubling. I know, I took 100 random quarters and checked them and that was the number out of 100 that had the MD. These devices are incuse in the design. When the MD happens it enlarges the incuse strike. (On the die, to make an incuse mark on a coin, it has to be raised on the die. All the raised devices on the are incuse on the die) Also the DDR's on these single squeeze dies have the doubled dies in the center of the design on the coin.
