Yes - this IS about coins. Bear with me.

There is so much talk about going to Mars today. One of the most fun items that I own is a genuine rock from Mars:

I enjoy showing this to my friends when they come to visit. The resulting "Oohs" and "Aahs" are generally followed by,

Friend: "is it real?"

Me: Of course.

Friend: How did you get it? How can you be sure its a real Mars rock?

Me: I am absolutely sure it is legitimate and can prove it.

Friend: "How?"

Me: I went to mars and got it for myself. I picked it up right in front of the train depot. The Martians didn't seem to mind. The ones I talked to were very friendly people, especially in the Martian railroad museum.

Friend: Uh huh.....

Well, Since I own a legitimate rock from Mars, when I saw the following ebay item, I had to have it. This Martian coin is the size of a Morgan dollar:

So yes, I HAVE indeed met and talked with Martians. I even had the opportunity to introduce a Martian couple to some of my friends once by saying, "I would like you to meet some Martians."

Its just my kind of mindset to wish I had been born there so could introduce myself to people as a legitimate Martian.

Mr. Musk, eat your heart out...been there...done that!

Thank-you Earle! I'll have to visit Mars one day for myself if I'm ever in the area again.

How far is it from Moscow to Mars?

2262 miles.

I beg to differ. I have been to both in the same day!

Also been to Eighty-Four, Pa and Bird In Hand, PA. The University of California is in California, PA. Indiana, Scotland, Rome, Athens, Bethlehem...and the list keeps going...use a search engine for funny PA names.

Its us crazy Germans that did it to the Keystone State!

Never knew there was a Moscow, PA and Google did not show it as a choice in the drop-down when I selected that route (while the much further one is Russia was).

Don't forget that there is a Vulcan in Alberta, Canada. There must be other planets out there that are closer than we think.
