Just purchased this one. It's a shame the shield is slightly worn in the middle and the large scratch was not noticeable in the seller photos, but I didn't pay too much. It looks about VF30 perhaps? Unsure.

I agree with VF details. Is that a die crack running across the obverse? Rim to rim?

VF details. I also think that's a die crack across the body, not a scratch.

VF 30 Details , decent looking coin .

Just makes XF but details grade. Agree it is a die crack not a scratch.

It looks like Obverse Die Crack #2, variety 110a in Gerry Fortin's book.

I think the scratch refers to the reverse scratch at 2:00.

The LDS/VLDS obverse die makes grading a bit tough. Reverse details alone suggest EF-40. Balancing obverse die state with the reverse details could nudge this one to EF Details (ED).
