Need help figuring out the year on this penny.I realize the picture makes the last digit look like an 8 but when magnified it looks like a blob. Also the L in Liberty is in the rim and can't see it. Newbie here, any ideas? Any value?

I'd say 1918 is a good guess.

@sunrise, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with 1918. Third, I think that @tbop's comment comes from the fact that you posted this in the sub-forum where we provide our estimate of the grade. It seems like you are only looking to figure out the date and perhaps why the most peripheral details are so worn so I'm going to move this over to a slightly different asub-forum.
