So I have posted a few times and have the hardest time with my phone to make the pics work. So my question is I received a 2001 Kentucky Quarter today in change again local Walmart and on the back the barn, fence and horse look metallic like a reflective look and the rest of the quarter is normal in color.

@coins, you know that its gonna be hard for us to help you without any pics. When you say reflective, that makes me think that you have a proof coin (except that the fields would be reflective and the devices fronted).

To make decent pics with your phone:
1) Place the coin on a flat surface and have light strike it under an angle. Any light source will do for now.
2) Place your phone flat on a little box (e.g. a coffee can or whatever) such that it is about 4-6 inches above the coin. The camera should be above the coin, the bottom of the phone is supported by the can which sits next to the coin.
3) Make sure light is still striking the coin and the can does not make a shadow over the coin. Otherwise move the can and phone.
4) Start the photo app, select macro (if you have it) and focus on the coin.
5) Hold the phone steady by pressing it against the can and snap the pic.

First, welcome to the forum. In time you will get the hang of things, like posting images. The majority on this site will assist you along the way. Now to answer the question to the best of my ability, all things considered, it sounds as if you got a new one from a roll. The quarters, as well as other denominations, are struck in such high numbers that original rolls remain in vaults for years. So I believe this is the case here.

It keeps telling me the pic 2.75 and the limit is 3.0 and still will not upload . I've seen many 2001 Kentucky quarters but nothing like the rainbow coloring on the barn , fencing and horse. Maybe I'll just send it in to NGC . Just cannot believe that no one here will let me send them a pic.. I'm. It asking for your social security number...

It's part of the rules regarding social contacting. What I can have you do is send me a message thru ebay. If you click my profile link there's a link to my ebay, click the contact seller button and attach the image and I'll upload it.

Negative, you currently have PMs disabled, and I'm not sure the system will allow me due to the fact that your account is fairly new with a low post count.

As to taking pics with a phone, you can buy a clip on magnifier for pretty cheap that clips on to your phone. Give that a try.
