1988? Penny Error Identification - Coin Community Forum

STKRollHunter New Member United States 49 Posts	Posted 03/09/2021 10:44 pm I am looking at what I believe to be a 1988 Memorial cent. The obverse is the only affected side and has what appears to be large organic-shaped spots. One of these sorts is covering up the 1 and 75% of the 9. They also affect the way Lincoln Face and Jacket appear. What seems to be the error, if any here? I appreciate the patience and knowledge. I am still very new to this so any hints or help is greatly appreciated. Report this Post to the Staff

I don't remember the fields, as having pot holes, on a Struck Through Grease error? Maybe some booger, put a booger on the planchet and let it dry, and then through it into the bin?
