Hello everyone, Can anyone tell if the mint mark in this coin is too high? And also, there seems to be like a doubling with it. Thanks for all the help.

Mintmarks were applied to the dies directly by hand until 1990, so there is variance in the MM location.

Where exactly do you see doubling? Any chance you could enlarge your photos to show us a closeup of the doubling you see?

Yes, mint marks placed by hand can and do vary. Please post an entirely new, large, high resolution image of the mint mark--not a blow-up of a small, lower resolution pic. Thanks.

Looks like 1960D-1MM-003, RPM-003

Possible A-D on that image? (But the image is so small, on the forum, and I could be wrong?)
