Hello all &

Please can anyone help me with my collection of coins. [deleted] I'm not sure if any of them have any particular great value or not, or are rare to come by.

I would appreciate any information &

Many thanks in advance!

Paul

Hello and !

You've got nine silver coins there, but most are too worn or damaged to be of any great value. But a nice start for a collection!

First row:
French 10 centimes, bronze, damaged, no value in this condition.
Great Britain Gothic Florin, 1856, fair / Good. Silver.
Switzerland silver 2 francs 1922
USA Standing Liberty quarter dollar, Silver. Probably only worth melt value in this condition
Shove ha'penny token - never seen one of these before but doubt if it's of any great value

Second row:
French 5 centimes, Napoleon III, too worn to be of any value
Canada, Queen Victoria 1 cent, too worn to be of any value
French 5 centimes, Napoleon III, as above
Two more shove ha'penny tokens, as above

Third row:
French 5 centimes, Napoleon III, as above
1894 Belgium 5 centimes, cupro-nickel
1817 Great Britain 1 shilling, George III, silver, VG to Fine
Hungary 20 filler
Very battered GB Victorian silver sixpence, melt value only

Fourth row:
Brass gaming token resembling a Georgian guinea, Little value
Very worn USA Indian Head cent. Only worth something in this condition if dated 1877!
Silver French 50 centimes, worth silver content at least
GB Victorian sixpence, worth silver melt only due to hole
Current Swiss 5-centime coin, legal tender in Switzerland for about 3p

Bottom row:
Worn and damaged GB Victorian silver groat, worth melt value only
Amusement arcade token from 1960s/1970s, little value
French silver 50 centimes of Napoleon III, worth melt value only in this condition
Swiss cupro-nickel 5 centimes
French silver 50 centimes, worth a bit more than melt to the right collector.

The Numista website is quite a useful resource if you want to check coin values.

I suggest that you take higher resolution, close-up photos of the George III shilling and Victorian florin and post them in the GB section of the Forum - it's hard to tell the actual condition and value from a small photo. Likewise, with the two American coins, you could take larger photos and post them in the US classic coins section.

@pll, first welcome to CCF. Second, while @numisrob has done an excellent job attributing your coins, I thought that I would share a request with you that in the future, you limit these sorts of posts to one or two coins each. That let's us be more focused on each coin, helps with searching for specific coins in the future, and helps us to find a final subforum for your thread. As most of these are world coins, I'm going to move your post there. Thx!
