I read the postings for thin planchets but this coin does not seem acid washed or any of the other remarks. It only weighs 1.84 grams. Is it possible that this it is a real thin planchet? It would take a great deal of work to cut it in half.

Guessing this was deliberately ground down and then further damaged by deliberate blows.

Looks to me like it has been ground down and damaged.

Agree. Appears the obverse was ground down--significantly. Didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition. Fun keeper.
