I've not seen this nice of a complete set of toned Washington quarters in well, never. Simply beautiful, I think my favorite is the 1937-D.

Wow! What a collection. Stacks usually has a great selection of top pop toners, but wow!

I'm not sure which is my favorite honestly. I like the 59-D's greens and pinks, the duel band toning on the 51 is stunning, the intense pinks on the 42 are beautiful, the deep, vibrant colors on the 53 are unique and attractive, the sunburt yellow and orange on the 41 is drool worthy, and the 47 with its immaculate condition and classic toning pattern are a great pair!

If I could justify the cost, I'd really consider chasing a few. But seeing how much I've bid on a few coins ending in the next 48hrs.... well I probably shouldn't.

So you say! I've got one bid ending at GC tomorrow at $1100, and another VIA a private offering at $1200 on Monday. Both are rather impressive coins, though you'll see them if I win!

Good news (not really). I lost the one auction so I now have more money to spend! Bad news, I lost the auction!

With toned coin auctions or sales, I always want to see both sides of the coin before deciding anything. Just showing one side of the coin and being forced to click on it to see the other side is annoying and takes too much time.

NumisEd - you only have to click once on the one coin to see both sides and the slab all together on a single page, then you can flip through each page of the auction on that same layout page. Really not to tough. Even Heritage, Great Collections and Goldberg as well as almost every other auction firm website, offer a similar viewing of only one side to start with.

Yes, but how hard is it to show me both sides at once?

My favorites would have to be the 32D and 32S. Not because they're the keys, because they're untoned

Some serious money being thrown around. I see several already in record territory and for good reason in a strong market. Beauties for sure! Thanks for sharing.

How is this a rare coin with 23 MM minted and low rarity score, the prices are irrational.

It's not a rare coin, it's a conditional rarity. Mintage isn't all that's part of a coin's value. Most of these coins are either finest known or tied for finest, thus a high price.
