The coins mint mark at 1st look appears to be a RPM, then upon a closer look you can not see the bottom of the lower m/m through what appears to be the second m/m window, IMO, I would say this is MD, and that is just my opinion, and I am really not 100% sure.....
If this was a true RPM, you would see the bottom D's lower horizontal line through the D's middle window...

I agree it is Machine Doubling.

Check closely on the date in the same direction of the flat area in the D. With Machine Doubling there are usually other areas affected.

It's Machine Doubling. MANY mintmarks on silver coins of the 40s, 50s, and 60s look like that, which is one reason why I have little interest in silver coin RPMs. WAY too many coins being called RPMs that aren't, and way too many RPMs that are also damaged by Machine Doubling.

And the correct term is ' Machine Doubling' - not ' Mechanical Doubling'.
