Hi

Just been planting my spring onions and carrots and literally unearthed this coin.

I was wondering if some helpful soul could let me know what it is and how I could best go about cleaning it and then advice of getting valued (if needs be) and then selling.

Thanks in Advance

No real value here, right Guys?
So maybe soak it in olive oil for about a month and keep your eye on it from time to time.....
Let's hear what others say.

I digg the patina as found. I'd be happy to put it a 2x2 as is and enjoy. Where I live in Utah, nothing that cool is ever found as my entire community is less than 15 years old.

Nice find, the verdigris has come through after 200 or so years.

Even though its an old coin, even in nice condition its only 20 or so pounds. In that shape maybe 2 to 5 quid, but as a conversation piece, its priceless.

I think too, its the beginning of your new hobby!
