Looks flat and shelf-like so MD. John1

I'm seeing a lot more deceptive looking MD recently, so wouldn't surprise me.

If they are all affected in the same direction, then it is probably MD. There also a hub issue on some of the motto issue. So it could be more than on issue. But if it is either/both there wouldn't be a premium for it.

Thanks for posting. I wonder, if both MD and hub issues, which one came first in the process? Does one cause the other, or are both completely separate processes?
I look forward to your further posts.
Stay well, DiyNurm7

Note this thread on Wexler's site: http://doubleddie.com/814639.htmlQuote: 1968-P,D,S 1¢ WWHO-001 Doubled Working Hub Description: A very slight CW spread shows on the LIBE of LIBERTY. A spread towards the rim shows on IGWT. Die Markers: The obverse and reverse die markers will vary with each affected working die. Submitted By: Various individuals. Comments: Numerous working dies for all three Mints were created with this doubled working hub including S-Mint proof dies. (Bold added by coop)
Then note coppercoins showing this as a DDO: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mdsNote all listing on V.V is showing the same issue and all their dies are from the same issues and being called doubled dies. http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...O%201968.htm

I'd say what you have is Machine Doubling. Keep reading here within CCF, you'll learn. Glad to have you aboard!
