Nice Cud! Have you examined the rest of the coin? It would be awesome if there were any other errors on it. :)

question? Is Cud considered an error? If so does Cud bring a premium?

Absolutely, it is an error and a nice one too. Die chips and cracks are normal wear and tear but when a Cud occurs, it is a major die break which is quite collectible and does carry a premium.

Take a look on the opposite edge of the coin where the Cud is. There should be weakness there in the devices.

I found a Cud nickle once and did not know what it was so I spent it. It was a really nice size one too. Nice find! Glad to see you kept it.
