Hello all,
I have a 1944 one penny which is silver in colour. Has anyone seen this before? I thought they were meant to be bronze? Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Spara

Yes - we need photos. The most likely answer is that it has been silver plated at some time - I remember doing this as an experiment myself as a youngster. It is just possible it is an off metal strike, which would make it much more interesting, but we can't tell without pictures.

Also, your photos are pretty good compared to some I see on these forums.

Other than cropping the photo properly, it is a very good photo. John1
