This coin has been in a roll of Kennedy half dollars for decades. I ran across thus error and wondered about it. Anyone seen anything like this? Appreciate any input you might have.

Looks like the reeds on the edge of another coin damaged that area. It happens:

Hi, everyone. Thanks for replying. I'm sad it isn't anything special, but that's life. Sigh.

If any bump and damage added money value to a coin, then probably all of the coins would be damaged, and we wouldn't have any change. A collectors piece is a special coin, not just random coins. That's why it takes time to learn what is a collectible and what is common. Were are here to show you the differences why some coins are valuable, while others are spenders. A lot of questions have already have been answered on this link: CoopHome . Note how when I typed this in, that it turned blue? On the site when this happens, terms will be linked, when you click onto that link. On the CoopHome link, there are 6 pages on that area on comments and links to other threads, that answer questions you probably haven't even thought of yet. There's thousands of linking images on these threads. So you can click on to them an probably have enough information to read for a month. Reading and having images helps us to retain information. If you see something on my links, feel free to save information/images and don't forget the screen shot feature to save information with the images attached. You might get a special external drive to save this information. Easy to save as you go, rather than kicking yourself later for not saving it, spend a lot of time, trying to relocate that information. Enjoy.
