What detail(s) on a penny, makes you stop and move on to the next one?

Everything depend of the year, mint, circulation, UNC, PR or PR like. I selection the better look first. then I go to see for know errors, then I look at the coin to see if I do not find a new thing. I want to mention that we go with a 10 - 20x magnifier first for selection.

this it is an exhaustive plan of selection. Manny others factors could come on the table, but in general those are personal collecting matter.

Zinc rot,carbon spots and just general PMD

Discoloration, bent, any zinc peeking through the plating. Stains. Anything you would not buy, throw it back.
