I cherrypicked this one as I was thinking $40 including shipping for a pretty nice coin was a good price. I'm not sure these are terribly popular, but it'll go in the collection. I know I have an FS-402 but wasn't sure if I had one of these or not. Honestly not sure how to file it so I could find it quickly as it doesn't fit neatly into any particular category in my filing system. I certainly don't have a "re-engraved die" section, and not a DDO, DDR, RPM or normal error type. 1953 proof Lincoln Wheat cent re-engraved die - FS-401

I'd be curious as to why they were reengraved in the first place! Regardless, good job.

Very cool! I often look for these in slabs as well as the other nice proof varieties. Nice score!

I haven't seen this before. Are there pictures before it was re-engraved so I know what to look for? thanks

It is the front of the laple under the 1. (There are 2 re-engraved dies for the year.) I believe this FS-401 is the more difficult one to find so congratulations. Here's TB's image with an arrow.

Thanks folks! And I also believe FS-401 is the harder of the two to find. Mr. Pocketses, that is an excellent arrow and a worthy addition to the thread. Should have thought of doing that.
