Hello, What do you think is a reasonable price for a 1861 20$ dollar?( from The coles collection according to the seller) sadly the isn't a link and I don't have the permission to post the pics on a forum so maybe I Couldn't ask for more than a rough range price estimation.

Prices vary greatly depending on condition and where the coin was minted.

Is it graded? If not, what grade do you think it would make? Is it a dealer selling or private individual?

If genuine, the value could range from around $2000 (near bullion value) to several thousand, depending on condition, whether it was cleaned, etc.

There are so many counterfeit classic gold coins that unless you are an expert at gold and grading, or you know for sure the provenance, I would be wary about buying a raw gold coin.

There are a lot of variables that go into pricing a coin. The following is a ballpark fair price for a problem free raw example: AU - 2K to 2.5K MS61 to MS63 2.8K to 3.3K There are a lot of counterfeit gold coins on the market. My recommendation would be that the sale is contingent on the coin grading genuine by a TPG.

If the image is online, it's in the public domain. You can do anything you want with the image. If the seller has a problem with that, then they are hiding something and it's probably something you shouldn't buy.

if the seller is very specifically asking not to share the image, I'd back out immediately. Anything I've sold or offered I welcome a post on the forum if they want additional opinions. If there's a grey area of a low to mid MS grade, and it's not slabbed, I'd also steer clear unless your confident in your grading and Counterfeit Detection abilities. What's the asking price?

DO NOT buy ungraded gold coins! Unless you are very good at grading AND can examine the coin in-hand.
