Picked this up because I thought it was a 1914/3. PCGS did not attribute it, call it a learning experience. They actually still attribute the 1914/3 despite what others may say, but they will only attribute one specific die and this is a different die.

I'll say MS-64.

looks like late stage dies. lots of die polishing going on. AU58 or MS63. I'm going with AU58. lets see what FC says if he sees it.

In hand I'm sure this would be more clear cut. AU58-MS63 leaning towards MS63

PCGS is only recognizing the single die that is FS-014.87 (old FS number). None of the other 12 (referring to Ron Pope's book on abraded dies) will get any recognition. NGC and ANACS will not acknowledge any 1914 over dates.

I'm late to the party. (My wife thinks that's my middle name.) MS-63 looks spot on. I might have bumped it to MS-63+, but 63 is certainly fair.

FWIW, I'm in a minority when it comes to the 1914 Buffs. With tremendous respect for Ron Pope's scholarship, I do not believe that there is a 1914/1913 DDO. I've looked at quite a few of them, and the most I can see is a gouge, possibly a flaw that was present on the master die and later reduced to eliminate it from the later hubs.
