Further to the info below, This coin is listed on ebay.
If one of you thinks of bidding on it, just be aware!!!!

you have to dig and play with the images posted by the seller. But,
it is very clearly an Obv 1. And it is one of the better ones. But, and EXCEPT...the green stuff. see the new Image here and the previous below.

It is not easy to show the green spots as I do not have the coin in hand and these images are copied and posted here for educational purposes.

I have three questions:

since this coin is Sterling Silver,
1 what are the green spots? it is not toning. Verdigis?
2 what are these caused by? plastic sleeves maybe?
3 Can these safely be removed, maybe with aceton?
Thanks
H

Perhaps it was stored with copper coins once upon a time?

If this is PVC residue, acetone may remove it.

PVC residue or some kind of old coating or both.
A bath in acetone won't hurt.
PVC residue can be removed with acetone.
But the damage has already started , it's now a details coin.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

It is a 925 Silver. The green is not natives to silver, so a mineral alcohol or acetone will take out. But no rub.

both coins are way too damaged for that price. especially with the unknown of the green stuff. there is too much of it everywhere.. although the coin in its grade is scarce.

agree, it's PVC slime. acetone will do the trick but there may be some residual effects on the coin surface underneath.

there also seems to be scratches next to the 5 in 25

the NB 20c appears to be cleaned/scratched pretty badly
