No Cuds. Those are die chips. Pretty common to find. Probably caused by an wrongly tempered die. It not quenched right (too soon), it can be brittle. I learned this in metal shop. On student was carrying his project and because if was hot, he dropped it and it shattered like glass in several pieces.
