1988 Penny With Odd Mark? - Coin Community Forum

"... here the field portion of the die has retreated and this has resulted in the..." thinning of IN GOD WE TRUST, though on mine the letters seems pretty sharp. So just another coin that looks interesting but not special. Oh well, I may keep it anyway. :-) Report this Post to the Staff

They are not a premium coin, but something to show to a new collector of what not is a premium coin. Spend and you will probably wish you had saved it.
