I found this 1988 D WAM and I was excited until I found out that all 1988 pennies had WAMs. I discovered the FS-901 variant has a 1989 reverse. I found a way you can determine if it is a 1989 reverse by comparing the AMs and the FGs. I can't tell if the AMs are the same or different. The easiest test is comparing the FGs however on this coin the FG is very faint if it's there at all. I need experienced eyes to see if the AMs are normal for 1988 or if this is the variant. The coin has some PMD and the pictures were taken at separate times. Taking good pictures of coins has proven difficult for me.
Ps. the reverse is also rotated an estimated five degrees clockwise
While not having the FG isn't the indicator of the RDV-006 on your coin, the font had a slight change. By looking at the M in AMERICA on your coin it shows to be the narrow font of the RDV-005 which is normal for the 1988 cent.
