Hi!

Recently, I was lucky enough to get a new coin for my collection. I guess that's 1/4 anna 1887/6 Bombay overdate - what do you think? Is there a reference to this coin in any of the catalogs?

Greetings,

Robert

a great source of info: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1615.html
It was minted In india but issued by the United Kingdom, as they were in control of india at the time.
The coin is of a smaller denomination, granting less purchasing power than most other denominations.
After your coin was minted, the woman depicted on the back, Queen Victoria I, would reign another 14 years before passing away in 1901.

Nice find. I don't think any of the major references mention overdates but it's been a while since I checked.
