2014 Smoky Mountains Shows What May Be A Die Clash Missing Mintmark

Oldfordman Pillar of the Community United States 2869 Posts	Posted 04/19/2021 5:52 pm I found this quarter Saturday and it looks like it may have a die clash on the top of Washington's head. It also has what appears to be a w om the lib of liberty, has a missing/unreadable mintmark and has lines going around on either side like a halo. They are more visible on the obverse. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/19/2021 7:46 pm The dies that struck that coin were in really late die state when it was struck. Not a premium. But another "Show and tell" coin to show to a new collector of what is not a premium coin. Even the reverse if showing the same affect, but on the devices on the outer edge on the reverse are incuse devices. (sunk into the surface of the coin, not raised) These are raised on the die, and they look like a polishing has also affected them also in a bad way. So no premium for this.
