1953 Cent With Date Question

Hello Forum,

I found this 1953 cent in a roll of wheat's I was going through. There is a doubling on the east side of the 3. Is this a DD or DDD? I am leaning toward DDD as there is a similar issue on the "I" in LIBERTY.

I check both Vista and Wexler's sites for known DDO's.

This is caused by Die Deterioration. Not a DDO.

Your correct, that is DDD.

Same thing that happened on the 1955 "Poor Man's Doubled Die" cent, although not as popular.
