coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/24/2021 10:37 am It is a worn die issue that was common on the 1950's Wheat cent caused by over use of dies that should have been retired. A lot of die events happened during those years. The term "poormans doubled die " was coined then give a name to this worthless die wear, that a lot of people bought, thinking it was valuable.
