That's a great find - looks like it's about to fall apart!

3.24 gr it is a little bit extra. Could happened at the end of the roll and slap rolls.
You state delamination!?!!!! No. It is not delamination it is end of the roll and it is clear a cracking planchet. But not only this! and here come the funny point: "WOODY EFFECT". Except the silver and the gold I do not remember see more then 4 like this in copper.

Cracking planchet, I love learning new things. I have never read about that. Where would I learn more about that, besides here? Thank you everyone.

Looks like some dirty cold rolled copper stock. It looked like that from day one.

Exactly Coop, at the end of the roll we have the biggest pression and also when is purge the metal the dirty is at the end of the bloom. You are complete right. Damage that the community of collecting do not agree. At the end of the roll we find the most planchet errors or defaults. COOP in my opinion you can be the most advance judge of the industry (I do not like to have someone better, but I recognize your eyes and logic go behind)
@VestigeWolf, I do not thing you will find allot for, in general is internal analysis of defaults. We are 4 to do and no one want to wrote about, sorry is to technical and is material structure resources. If you want to learn about , you have to studies the material and crystal structure. This combinate with the processes of production.

Thank you very much. I understand what you are saying and logic would dictate that man made materials would naturally have defects. What we put together to make one we can not take apart to be as before.

I always like to reveal what I see on a coin. The reason for my thoughts. But when I was learning, all I was given were yes and no answers. No explanation. So rather than hinder knowledge, I mention what I see and others can either agree, or disagree. Sometimes I learn stuff myself. That is a better way to deal with the forums to me.

So, if I were to sell this coin on ebay, how would I list it. I am pretty certain if I said cracking planchet many would not understand. Dirty cold rolled copper stock sounds understandable as does end of roll. Advise please. Thank you.

E-Bay is not a place to sell those coins. How many really collectors go there? almost none. I am collector and go there just to full fill some holes of a normal non value binders. the rest I do not spend the time to read all kind of junk announcements.
