 Why do you not think this is post mint damage? This is 100% PMD. This Lincoln has taken a beating and has an Elephant's trunk to show for it.... LOL.

The photos are somewhat soft--not sharp. Given the images posted, I'm seeing lots of post strike damage--strong hint of 'road rash'. The coin (minted in Philadelphia--no P) didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition.

 To the CCF Quote: I dont think it is post mint damage. If that's not PMD, then I don't know what is. It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin and there no way that yours could happen at that time.

Thank you. Every one is a comedian these days. &  &  . Just seemed like it could have been something from the print due to the way the elephant trunk was gouged in.
