I have noticed a lot of difference between the various variety web sites. Wexler's site seems to list more than others in general. The Variety Vista site has a lot better pictures and format IMHO. Variety Vista also seems to be the official Coneca site but I also got the impression it may not be maintained any longer. Copper Coins seems to have the fewest, but it has some valuations.

Is one more authorative than the others? Do they eventually feed into one another? Are they all competing with each other? Which is the better reference site?

Each determine what they will list. Some are very conservative, other liberal to list most of what is sent to them. One is in the middle of the two. Each stands or falls by their own choice. I use all three. There are probably a lot more minor ones out there, that are not being listed.
