I found this article interesting, Coin World's top 100 most influential people in the numismatic field. I agree with many, disagree with a few, and was pleasantly surprised how many of these people I either know pretty well, call friends or have met done business with in the past. Article is free for all to read or download as a PDF file. https://reader.coinworld.com/mostinfluential/#"Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Feldman - "And read it" - Me 2013! Thanks for sharing. I can't say that I've met any of these individuals but I've heard of a lot of them.

Very interesting! I recognized a lot more names than I expected, mostly thanks to being on CCF over 13 years.

Agree, mostly super selections, but I was surprised by a few of them as well.

There will always be opinions on the subject of who are the most influential people in numismatics, including the opinions of those who only read Coin World occasionally. If I may be a little cynical, those that have had the most influence on coin collecting are those who make fake coins. I hate 'em with a passion.

There is no doubt a strong bias toward CW's advertisers here. Doh.

Didn't see any of the late night coin guys on that list. Rick Tomaska aside since he knows coinage and has assembled some impressive collections for high profile collectors. The others are influential only for the opposite reason.
