Look at the date. Kind of a worn coin but the date and the horn jump out. Date looks a little funny.

date, mm, ALL the devices, all way off the mark on this one. The rachis on the feathers are not even close. Compare to a genuine example side by side and it will be quite apparent. You were in the right to question this one looking "funny".

Plot twist: this was an original genuine 14-S buffalo that got 'hoboized'.

Other than that plot twist, with everyone else here...

Probably a actual dateless Buffalo nickel with an s on the back that was retooled to increase the details

Chinese counterfeit. Among many other flaws, the date is wrong, LIBERTY is too strong, the rachis wouldn't be that visible on the first feather, the horn is the wrong shape and angle, and the mm style is wrong for a 1914-S Buff.
