My first Peace dollar in anticipation of the 2021 I think I overpaid some but I like the die cracks and has a nice light Golden tone.

If it's a weak strike, I see it as a 63 or 64. If it's wear, I see a 55 or 58.

I'll wager MS61--in jest, of course.

The scratch above the lip keeps it at 62 tops.

That's fantastic eye appeal for the grade. I'm not entirely convinced that it's circulation wear. The rim rash at 8:00 on the reverse may have been a factor in making the call. Nice one.

Peace dollars are one of the sets where an eye-appeal AU-58 frequently is a much nicer and more collectible coin than a generic UNC. The milk spotting, odd toning, and frequent harsh bagginess of the MS-60 to -62 coins is a real distraction in this series. You have a good eye for quality, and I think you nailed it with this coin.

I see a very slight hint at rub on the reverse on the wing feathers but I think the obverse just shows some weak strike rather than wear and the luster could be better but perhaps it really is in person. Pictures don't always show luster accurately. I'm at AU-58
