AU-53 straight grade. Do check it under a loupe to make sure there are no fine hairlines.

Thanks everyone, this was helpful. Looks like the consensus is AU 50/53 on wear, I originally felt a bit higher than that, but I'm new to this. Could also be that the shininess of the coin in real life made it look better than it really is. Most people think it's been cleaned/dipped (I don't see hairlines under magnification), but it's a bit unclear on whether it would grade a details or sneak out as a full grade. My curiosity has me in this one, so I think I'll take the advice that NGC might be more forgiving and try them.

There are a couple of rim bruises too. I would think that may keep her in EF range.

The challenge on an AU-53 is it's a coin that's traveled around in peoples pockets, been touched by a lot of fingers, has a lot of scuffs, etc... so the real litmus test on a cleaning is whether it has a lot of fine lines under magnification. Lacking those, hard to argue that a coin in this condition was cleaned v/ just getting regular wear. Unnaturally shiny might be an indication too but at least in the picture this one looks fairly normal for the grade. An AU coin will still have hints of luster.

Here is the coin under 10x magnification. There are imperfections on the surface, but they seem more random and natural to me than cleaning. Wouldn't cleaning be more parallel or swirled?
