So when the die get polished a lot, then these can be polished off the die. They call them missing, but they were on the die when created, so I don't think of these as missing, but removed. I see no reason to collect these, but the grading companies are making the big money. To me they are a waste of time. As a true variety collector, I'm don't fall for this gimmick. down the road they will look back and wonder, "Why did I waste my time and money, on a polished die issue?" But the nay sayers will call me wrong, but time will tell who is right. Report this Post to the Staff

Read the links below in my signature..the "experts" at the grading companies also don't see them a lot of the time and mislabel slabs. Sadly it has cost collectors thousands (all the info in those links is from the PCGS website and linked so the reader can verify it for themselves).
