Hello. Did not know that the 1961 D, Lincoln Penny was filled of RPM's (72). I have this one, looks like an RPM #50 to me, but among so many, ya never know, and what about value. Thanks in advance.

Yes RPM-050. Nice separation on that one. Great find!

Hi guys, Just got my coin back after submitting it in September at the Long beach convention, yes, it took them 3 months and my coin came back as an MS65 regular 1961 D. Received it yesterday, and I'm very disappointed. Can I dispute, please help.

50? There are 50+ RPM's for the 1961-D? that is quite a lot...
However, That is a great find and attribution.

@Believe7.... I've never sent coins to be graded but I'm fairly certain (if you want more than just your coin to be graded) you must also clarify to the TPG, you want the additional designation "error/variety" listed on the slab & I believe in doing so, it is an added expense.

i would be disappointed in the attribution - also...
but as stated - there is probably some "fine print" disclamers to be aware of...

In order to be slabbed with RPM your coin has to be summited first for variety-error (like CONECA, etc). then this certificate will be took in consideration by third grade . I suggest ANACS after you has the certificate.
Someone here can direct you for the right place. sorry I do not certified the coins for my self except rare cases and not error or varieties.

Depends on which TPG you sent it in to. PCGS won't put minor varieties on the label so that's a dead end for a coin like yours. They only will attribute coins in the CherryPickers' Guide with an FS number. NGC will put a few more varieties on the label beyond the majors with an FS number, but still won't do all of them. I don't really use them but I think they have a published list of which varieties they will put on the label. ANACS, however, is great for such things. They will put any variety on the label as long as their professionals can see it and verify it, which would not be a problem as yours in an obvious one. But you do have to declare the variety on the submission sheet and pay a premium (as with all TPGs) for the attribution above and beyond the cost of the slab. So if you used ANACS, you have a case. If you used either of the others, well, they just generally won't put such things on the label.

Hi guys, I did pay an extra fee for the atribution at the time and on a different form from the regular submission form. I will try and follow some of your advise. Thank you all, I really appreciate you.

Nice RPM.
I am curious as to what prompted you to submit this coin.

@centstation. The same reason why others submit their coins.
