Looks like a Dryer Coin. Bouncing around in a commercial dryer widens the edges. The longer the rid, the more the rims are altered:  The fall in the commercial dryer is like taking a spoon and smacking the edge of the coin:  The weight should be normal. 2.5 grams. Like the Texas cents, when the coin is expanded, the plating falls off the coin. Just like your coin.

Just noticed, on the edge, you can see where the plating is starting to break down because of the expansion that is on the coin, that wasn't when the coin was struck. Take a look.

They do get worse looking:   Becomes a blob, the longer it goes for a ride.
