Your coin is normal. All cents were
Wide AM (including proofs until 1992. In 1993 all the cents were
Close AM. Including proof coins. Starting in 1994 the 1994-S mints were
Wide AM again. Then the 1998-2000 episodes of the wrong reverses during that time period. Business strikes normal
Close AM's, there were year varieties of
Wide AM from 1998-2000 on the business strike cents. On the proof cents that should have been
Wide AM since 1994, there were 1998-S and 1999-S
Close AM's. Hard to keep up with but I have an image with all the information you need.

So all the info in on this image. Just save that for your personal references. I'll post more images with the views if what to look for:

This is how you can tell the differences. Forget the distance between the 'A&M'. Look at the locations of the 'M' on the AME. If the 'M' is centered, it is a
Wide AM. If the 'M' is off center, then it is a close 'AM'.
Remember to look only at the 'M' for which is which. There are only two choices. Wide and
Close AM. The distance between the 'AM' means nothing as die polishing can make the AM look closer or farther away. Just look at the 'M' location. It will be either centered, or off to the left. The only two choices.
Proof that should have been wide AM,
had some with close AM. These are year varieties.
Business strike with the wide AM,
that should have been close AMs'.
