Finally! A coin that lives up to my name. Picked this up for $20 all said and done. Looks 100% genuine to me, weighs 4.9 grams, has weakness on the obverse as well. Excuse my terrible photography, I've had a terrible time getting pictures of this one. I'm used to photographing cents most of the time. Would it be safe to acetone dip this particular coin? It's got some dust on the reverse I want to get rid of, but I'm not sure if the exposed copper will be a problem.

99% of the "missing clad layer" coins we see just have ED, but this could be the real deal. Edge pictures will be useful, but the color, weight, and strike all check out.

Told you about the weakness of the devices on a missing clad? (I wonder?) Real deal. Thanks for the edge images, I'll add them to my educational files.

Very interesting - I would imagine finding one of these in circulation would be nil - so 20$ seems like a great deal!!!

Then just use that pressurized "Canned Air" they use for blowing dust from computer keyboards. No use for acetone if you don't really need it.

Thanks for all the responses! I learned most of the facts on missing clad from coop (including the weakness on the opposite side part), so I have him to thank for that. Pressurized air, not acetone. Got it.
