On this 50 cent coin the "HALF DOLLAR" looks DD. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm still having an issue as to DD and MD . Some of my coins look exactly like the so called DD pictures in the books but I'm told they are MD.

Chances are it is Machine Doubling. The sites show no DDO or DDR for the business strike halves. There is one n a Proof Half dollar, but your coin is not a proof.
If your doubling looks like this, then it is Machine Doubling:

MD seems like a safe bet, but I can't see any doubling when I enlarge and enhance your current pics.

A sharp close-up of this area by the OP would help.

Yup. Machine Doubling. Affecting the outside edges of the devices. Not a doubled die.
