I still think its EF40. Its a fine example. Looks like it was circulated very lightly, but was put away soon after by a keen collector and has remained protected for its whole life. Consider the remaining luster and the fact that its not worn at all in any of the first to wear spots.

For anyone who thinks its only VF30 I'd like to see a comparative example.

I tend to agree with @TheDeductable - original toning and a nice halo effect, partial and in some cases full split in the laurel leaves, all of the segments are visible in the braid and the eye is in pretty good shape. Added bonus is that the denticles are almost all quite good - admittedly better on the obverse than the reverse but in my experience this is somewhat rare in the NFLD 20c.
