Hi; I have a 10.00 bill that is misprinted on the back. On the backside where the 10 should be in each corner is 100 with the little banner "TEN" over them It is a 1969 series B. The serial# is B90505248D. signer is John Connelly.

What is your question and can you post a picture?

So it looks exactly like this picture but with 100 instead of 10 in the top right corner? We'd defiantly have to see pics of this guy to figure it out

Are you saying that the bill is numerically labeled as "100" but the written number is denomination is TEN? I agree, a picture would be most helpful!

I tried to upload picture but it would not let me. I will keep trying. New to this. The Bill does look like the $10.00 bill that "Black Sheep" posted. The bill has $100 instead if $10 in each corner on backside, with the little banner that spells ten across the $100 . Again will ty to upload pic. I can e mail a picture. I am wondering if it genuine and value. Thank you all.

From hearing this, you have a "raised" note. This is a way to fob off machines back in the day with a $10 as a $100. The machines will basically only scan the numbers and a part of the portrait (back then they were pretty stupid) so counterfeiters would print out "100" decals and tape it to a real $1 or $10 and fake it to a machine.
I've never really seen one of these in real life, so pic please!

By the way you are describing the note, it sounds like you do have an altered bill because that would be an impossible error. The whole reverse is printed at the same time with the same design so you cannot just change certain design elements. Of course,

Here is her banknote Click on photo to enlarge The front looks like a normal un-retouched $10 note

Compare BlackSheep's to this one. It looks like the 0 was altered to look like 00.

... if it isn't pasted on (the 100) then is the entire note bogus?
....maybe....maybe....

Look at the two images I posted. It looks like someone took a pen and altered the 0's to look like two (much skinnier) 0's.

I wonder if it would really work. Could four small "100" really take away from the huge TEN DOLLARS at the bottom and an untouched front side? I honestly think someone was bored! Regardless, a fascinating find.

Depending on the age of the bill I'm sure you could take it to a bank and cash it in. However you could also sell it on ebay and other places as there are collectors of counterfeits and oddities.
